Deadpool Bugle: X-Force Writer Hints at Future Deadpool Appearance

  • RoQ · 2 months ago
    The series is X-Factor
  • Deadpool Bugle · 2 months ago
    Sorry. Fixed.
  • deadpoolandfriends · 2 months ago
Cool. Why are the renumbering it though?
  • bairdduvessa · 2 months ago
because DC and Marvel are trying to cash in on milestones. whether they are real or not. They've done it now with Daredevil, Thor, Action Comics. It's an annoying trend right now. Which is why Deadpool 900 was great, it was a spoof on all of it.

As for PAD writing Wade, YES FREAKING PLEASE! The dude would be the perfect writer, he's funny...can do great plots and characterization. He'd be perfect for Wade.

i think a lot of people have been waiting for David to take on Deadpool as soon as XF included Siryn. he's probably been reluctant to do it, but with his sense of humor and tidbits of pop culture in the series already, it'd be a great fit. i just hope it wouldn't be forced, but i don't foresee that being an issue -- David has a knack for weaving some of the best plot lines i've read, and fitting 'pool into one of them shouldn't be too big of a task.
  • gamerwithnolife · 2 months ago
I agree, there shouldn't be any problem with Deadpool being forced into a storyline. Look at what happened in Ms Marvel, that was just unnecessary and stupid. There are plent of reliable mercenaries they could have hired, but Marvel just had to have Deadpool in yet another comic.
  • gamerwithnolife · 2 months ago
These renumberings are pissing me off. My collection looks weird now because I have Thor 1-12 and then 600 right after that, and now I'm going to have the same problem with X-Factor.
  • Capo_Del_Bandito · 2 months ago
I thought Peter David hated the character Deadpool?

I like how he does crazy though, loved his Captain Marvel stuff tremendously. His run on Captain Marvel (Genis-Vel) was very similar to Joe Kelly's stuff. Dunno if that's how he's writing X-Factor nowadays but maybe we'll see it.
  • DeadpooltheHun · 2 months ago
    About time.
  • gamerwithnolife · 2 months ago
This should be good, I like X-Factor, I like Deadpool, Peter David's a damn good writer. Everybody Wins.

Even Deadpool because Siryn will be there.
  • MercWadeWilson · 2 months ago
I thought DP would never see Siryn again. Madrix is a total douche, and his super villian name sucks.
  • Blastback · 2 months ago
Madrox used to be pretty cool from what I've read of him. It's just this series that has really turned him into a jerk.
  • Grakk · 2 months ago
Has Deadpool seen Siryn since Copycat beat the crap out of her?
  • Capo_Del_Bandito · 2 months ago
Yeah, in Cable and Deadpool. But like most of Deadpool's history, Fabian Niceizia ignored it so he could write whatever he wanted.

Hence, it was never addressed about what happened between Deadpool and Siryn.
  • Pitalla · 2 months ago
Well considering that the guy who wrote that has been the worst deadpool writter in history '' Buddie Escalera'' , Fabian decided to bury it as if sayin. Your s**t never happened.

DW is not very big on char development, thats one of the taste's that he's mag's lack. So I am not quite sure how that would turn out from he's point.

People have been askin this for years, since siryin got pregnant I think. Not quite sure why she never showed up again in CnD since #19.

BTW DP's official age is 31, and I ve got Lefield and Joe Kelly to back me up on this >=D, so it seems that they have revamped he's age.
  • Capo_Del_Bandito · 1 month ago
No, Fabian ignored tons of Deadpool development, not just Buddy's stuff. Fabian can write decent 90's era comics. But when it comes to writing characters with lots of complicated backstory (that he didn't himself regularly partake in) he gets convoluted and very self involved.

Hell, the whole T-Ray/Wade Wilson/Deadpool/Jack thing was brought up because he was indignant about how 'his character' had been handled. He eventually lightened up in the end thank God. But the same went for Deadpool's 'past', "Deadpool's memories should be ignored except for the ones I wrote, because they were fake memories." were his words.

    Prima donna.

Citation needed though on his age.
  • Pitalla · 1 month ago
yeah, the jack/wade thing was kinda stranged and it was rushed because kelly was tired of them telling him every day.
Wrap up the book, its gonna get cancelled, no we just recived 3 tons of letters we good. And soo on.
He said he would had liked to continue to write deadpool for at least another year but you know how things where...
Anyways, to me Joe Kelly, Rob Lefield and fabian are the law when it comes to deadpool.
Where did he wrote all that? it seems really interesting :D
DP's 31 tought, those CANT be fake memories, because they where proved to be truth. And it was written by 2 key DP creators.
  • Capo_Del_Bandito · 1 month ago
I wasn't just referring to Kelly's 'wrap up' that was rushed.

I was referring to Nicieza's "T-Ray made it all up with magic" thing.

Where on issue 31 was it? I did a quick read-through all of Wade's bubbles but I may have missed some. Clarification?

    Also: http://uncannyxmen.net/db/issues/showquestion.a...

There's mention about Niceiza's 'take it or leave it' thing. Of course, later he recanted a bit and said 'it's all up to who's writing it'.

In early X-Force issues, Kane was saying "Deadpool was older when he was in the Weapon X program, he's got to be pushing 40 by now".

    Clarification!
  • Pitalla · 1 month ago
    ahhh thats a sweet page.

Yeah I know, 1st he was pushin to 40's altught that was kind of akward and some readers feel akward aswell cause DP was hittin on siryn wich was on her 20's.
That could be one of the reasons of the age revamp he got recently , also Kane could had tought that DP was pushin forties altought how would he know? DP was all disfigured and to some people he looks older just because of the scarring.

I think that this arc is probably gonn happen after the want you to want me arc with spiderman.
  • Capo_Del_Bandito · 1 month ago
Which page on issue 31 is the age reveal though?
  • DeadpooltheHun · 1 month ago
Because Kane knew Wade before he was scarred.
  • Pitalla · 1 month ago
no way, he got to know him on weapon x. And wade could had pretty much lied about he's age.
  • DeadpooltheHun · 1 month ago
Read circle chase, there is a flashback where kane is talking to an unmasked wade (in weapon x), this is before wade tried HF, joined team, killed slayback, rejected yadayadayada, i suppose its plausible that Kane misjudged his age since wade had recently gone under chimo, but I don't think "lying" about his age cuts it (well itprobably does for fabian)
  • Pitalla · 1 month ago
well considering that was taken from a DP memory... we know that it could be used as an excuse to another: '' that was a false memory or something like that''
Or it could had been because of the chemo, I dunno.

Thing is DP's age got revamp =D, it aint a bad thing if you ask me.
  • DeadpooltheHun · 1 month ago
I suppose the only difference it makes is that wade is less... experienced? I just don't understand WHY he needed a revamp??
  • Pitalla · 1 month ago
Cause he was startin to look kind of akward for many reasons, and having him on a younger ae makes it more plausible for most fans.

Besdie's in that way he aint cradle robber, another funny fact is that Ryan Reynolds is 31, just as deadpool xD.
But I guess that he will soon be older :p
  • mrwadewilsonhimself · 1 month ago
Noticed that afta reading my tpb of cable n dp
  • Pitalla · 2 months ago
I would prefer DW to handle this.
  • Capo_Del_Bandito · 2 months ago
DW's not big on character development. He's focusing more on getting Deadpool into big events on the Marvel U.
  • rj-b · 2 months ago
yup. if this leads to a crossover with XF (which i doubt, but you never know), i fear for how Way would write the XF cast. Peter David and Way are practically polar opposites in terms of plot/character development, humor, umm...well, just about everything.
  • Capo_Del_Bandito · 2 months ago
I haven't read much of Peter David's stuff other than the Hulk and Captain Marvel. How's he do for action scenes?
  • rj-b · 2 months ago
as far as how they're written?? i've only read his X-Factor stuff, and there is a little bit of action thrown in every once in a while...though even while that is going on, he'll still play to his strengths (i.e. dialogue). the intricate plots he weaves is where he really shines, especially in the last year of XF.
  • Capo_Del_Bandito · 2 months ago
Interesting. Hopefully he can play up a good Deadpool.

By the way, is anyone else getting multiple emails from the discuss comments thing?
  • rj-b · 2 months ago
yeah, i got four replies from you, same message...looks like it's fixed now, though.
  • rj-b · 2 months ago
    UPDATE:
not sure if this is connected, but it's curious...
    ---
IGN Comics: When looking at a storyline like [upcoming crossover event Second Coming], how do you determine what titles will play a part? For example X-Factor was involved in [Messiah] Complex, but not in Second Coming. Will that series, or its characters, be involved in the crossover? Will we see other titles affected – Deadpool, perhaps?

Nick Lowe: We're still discussing some of the elements that you're talking about, but the main thrust of the story is over the four main X-Books. X-Factor, which is an amazing book and everyone should go pick up the latest awesome issue, doesn't really revolve around current X-Continuity from month-to-month, so it didn't work for this story. But the impact of this event will have its effects on books like X-Factor and Deadpool, I can guarantee that.

Nooooooooooo no more got darn effects from otha books I don't read in books I do read!!!!! Ughhhhhhhh
  • rj-b · 1 month ago
you should give X-Factor a shot regardless -- it's a damn good book.
  • mrwadewilsonhimself · 1 month ago
ive heard Peter David's work is pretty good, im jus not a fan of siren and the multiple man. The only reason I even wanna read it(cant believe im sayin this cuz bendis sucks) is because of layla miller..On that tip i can wait for TPB
  • rj-b · 1 month ago
i can understand that -- a lot of people don't like Multiple Man. but yeah, what David did with Layla was outstanding throughout the series.

having said that, though, catching up on the first 50 issues would be quite an undertaking. but with what's coming out in December (#200), it's kind of like a whole new start...it's just a matter of when DP will show up.
  • rj-b · 1 month ago
not sure if anyone's still following this thread, but i keep looking for any indication of DP in XF. here's another:
    ---
from the Feb solicits for X-Factor #202:
It's all been building toward this: A suicidal assault on Castle Doom in the heart of Latveria as the unlikely trio of Monet, Shatterstar and the Thing go head-to-head with the guy who has his own complete country. Meanwhile, who or what exactly was buried in that lonely grave? And did Madrox arrive in time to make a difference? Plus, Franklin and Valeria Richards are on the run from the most unexpected enemy of all, and the only person who can defend them is...Strong Guy? Part 3 of "The Invisible Woman has Vanished!" Get it before it vanishes off the shelves!

...i wouldn't think anything of it, except the letters page used 'unexpected' to describe when/where DP will show up. coincidence?? who knows...i'm probably reaching, but...Doom is in this XF arc, DP is in DoomWar (also released in Feb), and Second Coming (March) will affect XF and DP. might these events be intertwined??
