man the critics kill me. this issue was great. all stories were unique, vry, very unique. you saw alot of writers get alot of cracks at deadpool and it was nice. too much comic? too much cynicism i say. i LOVE how i got multiple mini stories. i actually dont even have anything to complain about art wise....and usually im a stickler on art

best stories in 900: therapist, Kelly/Leifeld, Fan killer (Chicken n' Egg, Or Deadpool In the Real World?). I wounder what universe marvel would classify that story in as it seems by the end the foruth wall is just gone. Alsoany one else catch the buzz lightyear legs on one some of the mindless drones Deadpool was fighting?

Therapist was awesome, only thing i didnt like was the art.

That one pannel where Deadpool is saying that after awhile you begin to find beauty in the killings was such a cool looking panel and the whole concept of Pool starting off all big and lumbering as the session started and Shrinking as it went on going deeper into his pshyche. To me it seemed like the pencils would have been good but the grimey colors and sloppy inks ruined what could have been a unique take on the over weaponed, over pouched Mercenary. Also Roland started the story with a goatee, in the middle ended up with a soul patch and finished with nothing...What?

some of it was pretty good, but some of the art style wasn't exactly the best or good eg the fankiller 3D which i understand for real world art style, so i kinda agree on the critics somewhat

it started out great but fankiller art maybe a downside of it
but deadpool got me on the chicken trick

That therapist story was good and introspective but the whole the-therapist-is-a-killer-and-he's-gonna-get-his-comeuppance thing was, in my opinion, obvious to the point of being cliche. horribly cliche. I've seen it done before, and done better. but I enjoyed the introspection.

I was worried about being disappointed by Kelly's story cuz I was wondering if maybe he didn't ''get'' Deadpool anymore but I found it to be the funniest of the bunch. I really liked it a lot.

And there was something about that last story of Deadpool in the real world that stuck with me at the end. I was wondering where the hell the story was going, but the ending kinda made up for it. It was a darker take on Deadpool, but one that made sense. And as one of the above reviews said, Deadpool's a complex character, so I'm all up for an occasional change of tone.

yeah totally agree with you on the whole not getting it at first. By the second read while I was chuckling at his method of dying it was kind of sad too see how behind all the gungho invincibility, insanity and wise cracks Deadpool is all used up. The years have taken a toll, the disrespect he has recived from friend and foe alike has taken a toll on him, the countless near deaths have taken their toll on him and he wants to die, but can't by the convnetional means. So he'll take us all down with him "his own little cult". Kinda scary when you think about it this way.

Any one else notice in the "blood Montage" there was a panell depicting Pool stabbing himself behind a tree while two lovers kissed. Even though it wasnt too clear, the lovers seemed too look like Garrison Kane (Weapon X) and Vanessa (Copycat) who started dating after the VERy VERY first DP mini series "The Circle Chase" ended. I thought those two were never going to be refrenced again in Deadpool or otherwise, looks like I migt be wrong.

Great issue, kinda wish half of it wasn't a reprint though.

Joe Kelly's story was hands down the best story in the book. I don't understand why some reviewers didn't like it (though some found it the best story as well).

The therapist story was pretty good, but the last story "One Down" was amazing. It's the first DP story in a long time I'm able to say that about. It pretty much hit it the proverbial nail on the head for me. As DP gets more popular, his stories are becoming worse. This whole issue was just nonsense violence and bad jokes. This story however was really introspective. Not only did it explore DP's desire to die, it was a stylish way of addressing my exact criticisms the past few years.

Deadpool was never suicidal except during the Weapon X days. I didn't like it. Deadpool is the 'Merc with a Mouth' not the 'Merc who thinks a lot.'
  • DeadpooltheHun · 2 months ago
Yes he is. Just not shown that much these days...
  • DrDoomMonarch · 2 months ago
No he isn't. He was never shown to be suicidal in the early Deadpool days. He wanted to be killed ONCE and that was in an issue of Cable and Deadpool.
  • DeadpooltheHun · 2 months ago
Misunderstanding, I meant deadpool does think alot, just not shown these days. Mithras arc is the perfect example.

Picked it up but haven't read thro out... But of all the shorts storys of Pool I've read from the past... Silent But Deadly is my favorite.
And this Gregor guy is a dick... Anyone made a pic of Deadpool "pointlessly murdering him with a smile" yet?
  • DeadpooltheHun · 2 months ago
    Gregor? Whos he?

    Gregor's Comic Book Review - 3/10

Most of this issue was just pointless murder and cruelty with a smile, which is what wade does well. It's tolerable when the art is good and writing is clever. But this issue is just juvenile. I'm sure there will be many teenagers that will enjoy this one.
  • DeadpooltheHun · 2 months ago
Your right, he is a dick.

I liked the shirnking affect, but to me alot of the time deadpool looked like a fat piece of jelly, no idea whats up with the goatee though...

EDIT: Soz megaduck, this was meant to be a reply to your post
